| Maria del Carmen Cabello San Agustin (let's just call her 'Maria'!) was born and raised in Vitoria-Gasteiz, a city of about 200,000 people in Northern Spain. Vitoria-Gasteiz is the capital of the Basque Region of Spain and has a mix of inhabitants who bring a wide variety of Spanish cuisine to the local community. |  |
Maria has been cooking since she was 7 years old. With advice and support from her grandmother she has become a typical Spanish home cook, passionate about quality produce and traditional dishes.
Since 2003 when Maria moved to Melbourne she has been sourcing the best products she can find to cook the traditional Spanish dishes she loves. Of course, most great products are produced locally in Australia, but some still need to be imported from Spain.
Maria loves the opportunity to be able to pass on what she has learned to cooking students of Spanish Home Cooking, helping students to re-create authentic Spanish dishes in their own homes.

We've been doing it a while now, and it's all been word-of-mouth. But now we've officially launched Spanish Home Catering with it's new website:

We're gearing up for the first cooking lessons of 2010.
Lessons will be held each Thursday evening in Surrey Hills. We're excited to have a whole new bunch of people to introduce to delicious Spanish Cooking!
